How we think is how we live.

Recently I got a short pay check.  Too short for me to pay my rent on my time.  I always pay on the 15th or there about when it's not due till the last day of the month.

Just a habit I've picked up as a cushion.  Well.  It didn't work this time around, so I'll be eating bread and cheese for a while till I get things back on track.

I prayed.  "There is always more than enough, I know this is true, as it has always been true.  The Father will not give a stone to a child who asks bread."

Next day, there it was.  A check from some Government agency I've never heard of for 410$ andsome change.

And I can pay the rent on my time once again. :)

Coincidence?  I don't think so!

Create well this day my friends.

John.

  1. Praise God from whom all blessings flow, praise him ye creatures here below, praise him above ye heavenly hosts, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost...Aaaammmenn.

I remember us singing that together in the after dinner devotions. For some reason when I read your post, I felt that song. I am so thankful that God answered this prayer for you and how! Wonder when my check is coming that I've been praying for!? LOL! I think prayer is actually the most wonderous way that we humans care for eachother and ourselves. We have to ask God. We thank him when He says yes and cry when we don't see the whys of the no's. It is so awesome that the Creator of the universe, loves me enough to listen to me. And loves me despite my whining. He is patient with me.

I love you Johnny and just want to thank you for sharing in your blog. Jenn

  2. OH! So your the one that was praying with me for the check huh?

Yes Luv, I think we often do answer each others prayers. We are part of God, the children of God created in his image to create as does he or she maybe.

I often think of that song myself and sing it in the car on my way to work. And yes, I get a few looks at times. But I've no worries with that. Make a joyful noise unto the lord right?

I'd guess my singing could easily be considered noise at the least!

I love you too my darling sister.
